I'm delighted to announce that our 'charity of the year' - Exeter-based CEDA - is celebrating news of receiving a £73,000 government grant. We have teamed up with their staff to provide on-going business support, and will be working with them to help their dedicated staff spend more of their time working with disabled adults and children and less time caught-up in back-room functions.
The grant, announced by the Cabinet Office, aims to help smaller charities to implement organisational change and access professional advice that might currently be out of their reach. In the next 12 months we look forward to coaching the team and providing them with the digital skills they need.
Craig Bowden from CEDA said: “The support from another local business is hugely important and the advice and guidance from Toucan in the future will allow us to grow and showcase our charity in new ways. By enabling us to work with local businesses, it will help towards sustaining the growth and development of CEDA for years to come.”
