elf online shop goes live!
Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) has just launched its first online shop, which the charity hopes will help generate vital funds to support its work.
The shop, www.elfcharity.org.uk, sells Christmas cards, teddy bears, books and branded clothing.
Having already designed and produced the charity’s logo and the website, we have now donated the new e-shop.
"We are delighted to continue to support this great and hard-working local organisation,” said Toucan's Creative Director, Josh Beadon. “The new online shop gives the charity the chance to sell more fundraising goods to a far wider audience than ever before, and importantly it reduces their administrative costs, meaning more of the revenue goes to help those who need it most."
ELF’s Chief Executive Dale Edwards said: "The support of Toucan as one of our major supplier partners has and continues to be invaluable. Our brand and our website, both designed by Toucan, have been critical to our well received communications strategy.
“The development and launch of the shop on line for ELF offers to be another step in reaching out to new supporters particularly in these tough economic times.”
The online shop also enables ELF staff to monitor stock levels and gives an array of financial reports at the press of a button. Pricing, discounting offers, delivery options and order tracking can also be controlled using the straight-forward admin area.
Josh added: “The key point was to make the system easy and intuitive to use for both the shopper and ELF staff. The ELF shop has been integrated into the secure and trusted Paypal payment system, which no longer requires shoppers to set up a 'Paypal account' to process orders. In addition we have added an 'online donation' facility (with the ability to Gift Aid It) so that generous customers can give directly to this worthy cause.”
ELF supports the work of the Haematology Centre at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. The Centre treats the region's blood cancer victims, performs bone marrow transplants and conducts research into the causes and treatment of the disease. ELF provides funds for enhanced patient care, state of the art equipment and research.
